What's it all about?
Upper Arlington Ice Bear Prospects is a program sponsored by the Upper Arlington Ice Hockey Association intended for players who have aged out of Future Ice Bears but not yet joined the high school program. Maybe you're considering playing one more year of travel or club hockey? Maybe you want to know about summer programming and get to know the team as you transition and work towards tryouts?
This is a FREE registration available so you can provide your contact information and keep in touch with UA Hockey. We'll inform you about programming of interest - summer lifting, UA mini-camps, 5v5 High School Hockey (...next level of "pond hockey"), community service opportunities. You're welcome to join us for any of these if you're considering being part of the UA Hockey program! So sign up and keep in touch!
Ages
Ice Bear Prospects is intended for 8th graders (rising Freshmen) and current 9-11th grade hockey players who may not be playing for the school at this time.
When
Programming is available throughout the year and we frequently facilitate community service opportunities.
Ice Bear Prospects will mainly be of interest from the end of our normal season through spring, summer and leading up to Captain Skates and Tryouts. That's your opportunity to get to know the team and our returning players before tryouts!
Where
The UA Ice Hockey program's home rink is the OhioHealth Chiller Ice Haus at Nationwide Arena.
Summer programming takes place there, at rinks around Columbus, and the high school.
Mainly, this registration places you on our distro list -- and that's the place to be if you're thinking about trying out and joining the UA Hockey program!
Jerseys & Apparel
If you join us for summer programming, we'll provide you with practice jersey. Other lifting apparel and spirit wear is available from SquadLocker and 614 Hockey year round and throughout the season. Keep an eye out for promotions at UAHockey.com
