Plan on attending the UA JV/UA Bantam Skate For The Cure at Dispatch Ice Haus from 6:30 to 7:50 P.M.! You won't want to miss the UA Ice Hockey JV team and the UA Bantams as they FACE-OFF for the Cure! The Varsity Hockey Bears teamed with the Olentangy Orange Pioneers and rose over $3,000 to benefit the Stephanie Spielman Foundation for breast cancer research. The scrimmage was played before a crowd of over 300 at the Fairgrounds on Jan 23. Chris Spielman dropped the puck for a ceremonial faceoff and expressed his appreciation in an address to the teams and the crowd. Fans supported the cause by participating in a Chuck-a-Puck contest, a 5/50 raffle and a raffle for other prizes. Mary Stephensen, a UA parent, won the Chuck-a-Puck and she donated her $110 prize to the Foundation. Mike Anderson, an Olentangy parent won $450 in the 5-/50 raffle. UA won the scrimmage 2 - 0. Hockey Team's weight lifting is Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 4:30
Hockey Kickoff meeting for the 2010-2011 season will be Tuesday, June 1 at 7:00 in the UAHS Cafeteria. Please pass on any email addresses of interested players to Tracy Beebe.
